Hy Dao
Hy Dao is currently senior lecturer in geographic information at the University of Geneva. He studied human geography at the University of Geneva and later got a post-graduate diploma from the International Institute for Aerospace Surveys and Earth Sciences (ITC, Enschede, The Netherlands). He holds a PhD in human geography from the University of Geneva (subject : « GIS, remote sensing and knowledge of the environment. The case of deforestation in Ivory Coast. »). Hy Dao is also heading the Metadata and Socio-Economics unit at UNEP/DEWA/GRID-Europe. His fields of activities include vulnerability assessment, population mapping, sustainable development indicators, graphic semiology, and e-learning.
