Sandra Lavenex

Biography: 

Sandra Lavenex is professor of international relations and global governance at the University of Lucerne and regular visting professor at the Collège d'Europe, Natolin Campus and the European Online Academy. Her main areas of research are European and international migration policies, European Union external relations, and international democracy promotion. She is currently leading an SNIS-funded projects on Migration Partnerships as an element in the global governance of international migration (co-sponsored by the Federal Office for Migration and the Department for Foreign Affairs). She is also concluding an EU-funded project comparing EU association policies towards neighbouring countries and is co-leader of a project on EU democracy promotion within the NCCR Democracy in the 21st Century.
