The SNIS supports workshops that foster collaboration between International Organisations and Swiss academics in the domain of international studies. The SNIS considers that International Studies deal not only with the analysis of international relations, but also with political, economic, social, environmental, legal, and health issues that extend beyond national boundaries.
After the finalisation of the workshop, organisers are explicitly encouraged to pursue their effort by entering the yearly SNIS call for projects.
The SNIS provides a yearly envelope of 15’000.- CHF that can be used to organise joint workshops between academics and international organisations. Applicants from either Swiss Academia or International Organisations headquartered in Switzerland can request a maximum of CHF 5000.- per event.
In addition to the monetary support the SNIS also provides the winners of the call with the possibility to host the event in Geneva at the centrally situated Villa Rigot free of charge.
The submission deadline for the 2014 edition of the International Geneva Incubator Workshops is 4 June 2014.
